Electron Pair Repulsion Theory
The Electron Pair Repulsion Theory states that electron pairs arrange themselves around a central atom so that the repulsion between them is a minimum.
Lone pair-lone pair repulsion > lone pair-bond pair repulsion > bond pair-bond pair repulsion
