Practical: Measuring Friction
Friction can be measured by placing a block on a table and pulling it with increasing force until it moves. The force can be measured by a newtonmeter. Blocks of different masses can be used to find out how friction depends on the weight of the block. A graph of force against weight will give a straight line through the origin.<
