Measuring the Energy Stored in a Charged Capacitor.
The energy transferred to a lightlbulb when a capacitor discharges can be measured with a joulemeter. The capacitor's potential difference is measured and the joulemeter is read before and after the capacitor discharge. The difference in the joulemeter reading is the energy stored in the capacitor before it was discharged.
