Uniform Circular Motion

AQA A-level PhysicsCircular MotionLesson 1 of 9

If an object is rotating at a steady rate, it has uniform circular motion. A point on the perimeter of the object will travel the distance of the circumference 2πr. Since speed is distance/time, the speed is v = 2πr/T where T is the time period of one rotation.
