The Haber process makes ammonia from nitrogen and hydrogen. It uses three conditions: a temperature of 450 °C, a pressure of 200 atmospheres, and an iron catalyst.
The iron catalyst makes the reaction go faster. A catalyst is not used up in the reaction, so the same iron can be used again and again.
The reaction is reversible, so the gases leaving the reactor are a mixture of ammonia, nitrogen and hydrogen.
