BRAINCAKEControlling Transcription
DNA is wound round histone proteins. This is called chromatin. Heterochromatin is tightly wound and euchromatin is loosely wound. The genes in euchromatin can be transcribed but RNA polymerase cannot access the genes in heterochromatin.
