Specialised plant cells include palisade cells and guard cells in the leaves, root hair cells that help the plant absorb water and minerals from the soil and cells of the transport tissue such as xylem and phloem.
Palisade mesophyll cells are present in the leaves of plants.
They are close packed rectangular cells with thin cell walls. The contain lots of chloroplasts for photosynthesis and a large vacuole to maintain turgor pressure.
